Hi, my name is Grace Olinger. I am a member of the Handy Lads and Lassies 4-H Club. My 4-H projects include breeding and market sheep, which I raise from a small flock of my own ewes. In addition, I raise market hogs and participate in vet science, leathercraft, and livestock judging. The projects I enjoy most are definitely my pig and sheep projects and livestock judging. These projects in particular are pushing me in the direction of a future career in agriculture.
This year I am excited to show my livestock at the Routt County Fair. Hope to see you there!
I would also like to thank Lucky 8 Ranch for purchasing my 2016 market hog. Your support of me and Routt County 4-H is greatly appreciated! See you at the Routt County Fair!
My name is Kate Olinger. I am sixteen years old and I attend SoRoCo High School. This is my eighth year in 4-H. I am a member of the Handy Lads and Lassies 4-H club and serve as a club representative. I raise market hogs, market sheep, and breeding sheep and participate in clothing construction. In addition to 4-H, I am also a member of the SoRoCo FFA Chapter and serve as an executive committee member. This year I will be taking my market hog, Gunter and both market and breeding sheep to fair.
I would like to thank the Belton family for buying my 2016 market hog. I would also like to thank all my friends and family for helping with all my 4-H projects. Your support is greatly appreciated.
I hope to see you all at the Routt County Fair!
My name is Morgan Palyo. I am a freshman at University of Wyoming. I have been Raising and showing Sheep for 10 Years. I am very excited about my 2017 crop of Lambs. This year was my biggest crop of lambs and I think my best. I have had so much fun raising sheep and I have learned a lot through 4H and FFA. I feel my future is going to be positive because of my involvement in these great organizations. I plan to participate in 4H and FFA for one more year and I know I will miss it a lot, but I also know that I have learned that hard work pays off. I will be showing in the Breeding Sheep and Market Lamb Classes at the fair this year. All of my sheep are home raised in Routt County.
See you at the 2017 Routt County Fair.
Hi! My name is Bailey Iacovetto and I'm a sophomore at Soroco High School. This is my second year participating in the market beef project in 4-H and FFA. I have grown up on ranch and I have a love and appreciation for agriculture. I enjoy the hard work that goes in to our projects, as well as seeing the end product of that work.
Needless to say, my steer this year has taken a lot of hard work, but it has been totally worth it! I'm excited about showing my steer, Dodge, at the Routt County Fair in August. I thank you for your support of 4-H and FFA in the Yampa Valley and I hope to see you at the fair!
This blog is for the use of all 4-H/FFA livestock members. Members can submit a story about their projects and experiences in 4-H, to be published for you, the buyers!
