Buying In Groups
  • Maybe you don't have freezer space for a whole animal, but you still want some of that delicious, locally raised meat. We have the solution. Ask around, talk to your friends and business acquaintances and see if they're interested in splitting an animal in halves, thirds, quarters, etc... to help offset everyone's' costs and give everybody some meat.
I just bought an animal, what now?
  • SOLD! Once you have successfully won the bidding on the animal, please go immediately to the photo area and to the auction office and check out. This is where you will take a photo with the 4-H Member and animal, write a check, and complete the paperwork for your meat to be processed in the way you desire.
  • You can pay by credit card or check.

Reasons to Buy Local:

  1. Know where and who your meat is coming from.

  6. Bragging rights. Supporting your local youth is COOL in our community. Let others know you're a supporter.
  7. Our meat is safe. There are no added hormones or antibiotics in your meat. The Veterinary Feed Directive is enforced and animals who require medical attention will not be harvested until that medication has left their system.
  8. You can ask and find out everything that has been fed or administered to the animal throughout the entirety of its lifetime without having to search through a label, the youth in this program care deeply about the quality of their product.
  9. These youth are the future of the ag-industry.
  10. Help a youth attend college. Many use this money to fund college and save for their futures.
