Hi my name is Chyanne Costner. I am ten years old and was born into a sixth generation ranching family in Pleasant Valley. I live on the ranch with my parents and sister, and get to spend a lot of my time with my great-grandparents, Sonny and Dolores Kuntz, who also live on the ranch. I love walking in my grandma’s flower garden and helping her hang clothes on the clothes line. I love playing in the barn with my cousins, and being in the corrals when we work cattle.
What I love most in the world are my horses and barrel racing, which I compete in the Steamboat Rodeo every weekend. I also enjoy spending time with my other animals, which include my bottle-fed calf, Daisy, and my pigs, BB and Martin, along with my faithful sidekick, Chloe, who is my dog.
This is my second year in 4-H., and my first year doing a market animal. Last year I did horse only, and this year I am taking both horse and market swine. I’ve learned a lot this summer, love raising my own animals and I plan on continuing to do it for the rest of my life. Thank you for your support!
