My name is Morgan Palyo. I am a freshman at University of Wyoming. I have been Raising and showing Sheep for 10 Years. I am very excited about my 2017 crop of Lambs. This year was my biggest crop of lambs and I think my best. I have had so much fun raising sheep and I have learned a lot through 4H and FFA. I feel my future is going to be positive because of my involvement in these great organizations. I plan to participate in 4H and FFA for one more year and I know I will miss it a lot, but I also know that I have learned that hard work pays off. I will be showing in the Breeding Sheep and Market Lamb Classes at the fair this year. All of my sheep are home raised in Routt County.
See you at the 2017 Routt County Fair.
Hello, my name is Eli Moon. I’ve been doing 4-H for 2 years and its one of my favorite parts of the year. I show market goats, horses, and dairy goats. My market goat, Hurin, is one of the funniest animals I’ve ever met. Ranching has always been a big part of my life, but 4-H added a whole aspect to the ranching I was used to. 4-H has taught me and led me and made me a better person.
I will be selling my market goat at the Jr. Livestock sale and I hope to see you there.
Hi, my name is Jess Diehl and I'm 15 years old. I have been in 4-H for 5 years, starting off raising market pigs, and I'm now on my second year of raising market lambs. The Routt County Fair is my favorite time of the year, and I am very excited to be showing my two lambs, Jinx and Balloo, as well as representing the fair as the 2017 Routt County Fair Queen.
I would like to thank the Ski Town Rotary Club for buying my 2016 market lamb, and I hope to see you all at the Jr. Livestock Sale!
Hey! My name is Emily Rossi, and this is my first year in 4-H! I am a member of the Flat Top 4-H Club, and I show pigs, goats, and lambs. My market projects this year are market swine, market goats, and market lambs. I waited a long time to be able to show in 4-H and am so excited to finally be able to show pigs! I have enjoyed being able to bond with my animals. I look forward to the 2017 Routt County Fair, and hope you will stop by to meet my animals and me!
Hey! My name is Kayla Rossi, and this is my fifth year in 4-H. I am a member of the Flat Top 4-H Club, and I show beef, sheep, and goats. My market projects this year are market steer, market goat, and market lamb. This is my first year showing in the market steer project, and my fifth year showing market goats and market lambs. The one thing that I love about doing my market animal projects is getting to know my animals’ personalities each year because they are all different and special. The leadership skills gained in 4-H is also pretty awesome!
Thank you to Steamboat Meat & Seafood Co. for purchasing my 2016 Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb and Master Petroleum Co. for buying my 2016 Grand Champion Market Goat. I look forward to the 2017 Routt County Fair and hope to see you there! I hope you will stop by to meet my animals and say hello!
Hi my name is Josie Meyring. This is my 4th year in 4H. I show horses, cattle, and last year I showed a lamb. In 4H I also participate in Vet Science and Livestock Judging. In my free time, I like to ride my horse, barrel race, and work on our ranch. I love 4H and all it has to offer, and how it has helped me become more responsible, and I've learned a lot. Thank you to Rooney's Round Mountain Ranch for buying my 2016 Grand Champion Market Steer, Bugs Bunny. This year I am showing two steers, Cinnamon and Boxer.
I am looking forward to the Fair and hope to see you there!
Hi my name is Emmitt Meyring. I have been in 4H for 6 years and I show Breeding and Market Beef and participate in Roping, and Livestock Judging. Thank you to Lucky 8 ranch for buying my 2016 Market Steer, King. I also want to thank Rooney's Round Mountain Ranch for their support of all my 4H projects, and support of Routt County 4H.
I like the challenge of 4H and hanging out with my friends at the Fair. I enjoy showing cattle and plan on continuing in 4H.
I feel lucky to have so many great supporters, and Routt County 4H is lucky to have so many supporters. We have a great Junior Livestock Sale in Routt County and I look forward to the 2017 Fair.
Hope to see you at the Fair and the JR. Livestock Sale!
Hi! My name is Olivia Rossi and this is my 4th year in 4H. Every year I look forward to doing my steer project for 4H and especially going to fair! What I love about 4H is that every year I grow and learn something new. Thank you to Steamboat Powersports for buying my 2016 Market Steer! We live in an amazing place, and I am thankful for all the love and support this community has to give. Come and say "Hello!" to me and my steer Tom Cruise at the fair.
Hope to see you there!
Hi! My name is Britney Iacovetto and this is my third year in the market beef project. I LOVE to show steers! (As much as I love to ride horses!) My steer's name is Gambler and I raised him from my own cow herd. Working in the market beef project through 4-H has taught me so much. It's taught me responsibility, accountability, and hard work pays off. I'm excited to show Gambler at the 2017 Routt County Fair and I hope that you can join us for a day of fun at the fair!
Hi! My name is Bailey Iacovetto and I'm a sophomore at Soroco High School. This is my second year participating in the market beef project in 4-H and FFA. I have grown up on ranch and I have a love and appreciation for agriculture. I enjoy the hard work that goes in to our projects, as well as seeing the end product of that work.
Needless to say, my steer this year has taken a lot of hard work, but it has been totally worth it! I'm excited about showing my steer, Dodge, at the Routt County Fair in August. I thank you for your support of 4-H and FFA in the Yampa Valley and I hope to see you at the fair!
This blog is for the use of all 4-H/FFA livestock members. Members can submit a story about their projects and experiences in 4-H, to be published for you, the buyers!
